Toado + Jira

Capture in Toado.
Keep the work moving in Jira.

Give Jira the bug, its screenshots, and the evidence behind it. Your team captures in context, then sends a clear issue without retyping the report.

Included on Team, Business, and Enterprise. A workspace owner connects the site and controls project mappings.

From capture to issue

Set the destination once. Send with the evidence.

1

Connect your Jira site

A workspace owner connects Atlassian in Company Settings and chooses the Jira site. Available on Team, Business, and Enterprise.

2

Map each project

Choose a Jira project, map Bug, Improvement, New feature, and custom ticket types to issue types, and set default labels.

3

Send the tickets you choose

Members and owners send one ticket or select several on the board. Owners can also enable automatic sending for new tickets in a mapped project, with ticket-type and widget-report rules.

Automatic sending applies to eligible new tickets after it is enabled. It is optional; connecting Jira alone does not turn it on.

A report you can act on

More than a title and a link.

Title and description

The ticket title becomes the issue summary. Formatted descriptions, source page, viewport, and a link to Toado travel with it.

Annotated pictures

Capture images are attached with annotations, blurs, and redactions drawn in.

Walkthrough video

Clips attach when they fit the Jira site’s attachment limit. Otherwise the issue links back to the video in Toado.

Debugging context

A DevTools summary gives the Jira reader context. Full console and network evidence stays in Toado, behind its existing access controls.

Connected workflows

Follow the issue after it is sent.

Where linked status updates are enabled, a Jira issue reaching Done moves its Toado ticket to the project’s last column. Reopening it returns the ticket to its previous column, provided a teammate has not already moved it elsewhere.

Change a linked ticket’s type in Toado and the mapped Jira issue type follows where Jira permits the change. Jira can refuse changes across workflows or screen schemes; Toado shows when the old type was kept.

What syncs, and in which direction?

  • Done and reopened status: Jira to Toado.
  • Mapped ticket-type changes: Toado to Jira.
  • Moving a Toado ticket does not change Jira’s status.
  • Comments and assignees do not sync between the two systems.

These are specific updates, not full two-way mirroring.

Under your control

Clear permissions. Visible results.

  • Owners connect or disconnect Atlassian and change mappings.
  • Members and owners send tickets; viewers can see linked issues.
  • The ticket shows the Jira key, send state, and failures that need attention.
  • Unlinking a ticket or removing a mapping leaves the Jira issue in place.
  • AI agents can send and unlink Jira issues through MCP within the caller’s permissions.
